Energy Healing - Recommended Guidelines
Rules Followed by Energy Healing Practitioners
Practitioners of Energy Medicine work with the body's energy to generate psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical health and well-being. This can be achieved through using techniques that might help cure/ease complaints, ward off disease and overcome fatigue and lethargy.

Through Energy Medicine the seven major energy systems of the body called the Chakras can be used to promote better health and well being. As well as the physical, there are a number of different forms of energy and energy patterns. Unhappy childhood experiences and memories for instance are all stored deep within our Chakras and even if pushed to the darkest recesses of our mind, they are still a part of us and can cause negative emotions. The basis of this wide-ranging therapy is that most illnesses are caused by blockages in the body's energy currents. Energy healing is a way of eliminating these blockages and balancing energy.
Energy imbalance can also be caused by bad eating habits, stress, environmental factors or emotional hang-ups. Good health will depend on how energy flows between different parts of the body and its energy centres.
Because there are so many healing techniques involving energy healing, each therapy will have its own rues, however the following guidelines should be followed by all Energy Healing practitioners.
Rule 1 ~ Never give or send energy healing without permission of the recipient
Rule 2 ~ All Energy Health practitioners should treat clients equally with no discrimination against age, sex, race, colour, marital status or religious beliefs.
Rule 3 ~ Practitioners should be willing to answer queries and give a full explanation of the treatment process.
Rule 4 ~ Should a client's needs exceed the Practitioner's expertise, the client should be referred to the relevant medical or complimentary fields for further help.
Rule 5 ~ Children up to the age of sixteen should be accompanied by a parent or guardian during Energy Healing treatment
Rule 6 ~ Premises and equipment used during the treatment should be clean and hygienic
Rule 7 ~ Energy Healing practitioners should maintain confidentiality in relation to their clients
Energy Medicine might involve crystal healing, light therapy, acupuncture, aromatherapy yoga, kinesiology, polarity therapy and reiki. It can be used to complement other health practices or as a complete therapy to promote better health.
A combination of therapies may be used during the treatment, including: touch, meditation, looking at diet and exercise. Little harm and often a lot of benefit can result but it is always important to get a competent diagnosis first.
Most holistic practices involve looking at a person's emotional, psychological, spiritual, social and environmental needs to consider these as a whole in order to balance the energies without and within to promote better health and well-being.
