Clearing Blocks that Prevent Moving On
There are many things that can block our way and keep us in a rut or keep us from feeling as if we are making any progress. Often the biggest obstacle is your ‘self’, something emotionally, spiritually, mentally that is causing the obstruction. Doing some inner work can help.
Ask yourself: What might the blockages be. Are they emotional blockages created by past unresolved negative experiences … are you falling back into habits / behaviour patterns of the past that limit you or interfere with your intentions? Could there be suppressed emotions that are blocking your energy? If so these need to be acknowledged and released. Could it be something or someone in your environment that triggers negative feelings you are trying to suppress? For instance someone who reminds you of a person from your past who always made you feel useless or clumsy? A situation or environment might remind you of a similar situation/place from your past that made you feel intimidated and small.
Emotional blocks can prevent you from moving forward and can affect all areas of your life. Our subconscious mind is the storehouse of all our emotions, memories, beliefs and experiences. It is responsible for our responses, our behaviours so in order to resolve deeper issues and clear blocks preventing us from moving forward we need to dig past our conscious, thinking mind, and explore what’s underneath it all … our subconscious.
The clearing process begins with ‘awareness’, then being honest with yourself and open about what could be causing the block. Once we reach a state of ‘acceptance’ and forgiveness, the willingness to release ad make pace with the past, the blockage is cleared.
Clearing blockages may involve working on our mind, body and spirit. Our body through deep relaxation, our mind through awareness, our emotions through acceptance and our behaviour through breaking out of patterns / habits that may have formed in the past we haven’t been conscious of falling back into in the present. Spiritually, this helps by observing the effects of the lessons we go through in our life.
Mental blocks can be overcome by: ACKNOWLEDGEMENT … you may already have acknowledged you are experiencing a mental block. This is the first stage of overcoming the problem. FINDING REASONS … meditate on the possible reasons that has caused this blockage. … i.e. fear of failure, lack of confidence, fear of letting other people down, scared of being successful or of where new opportunities might lead. USE YOUR FEAR POSITIVELY … Accept that there is fear inside of you. Embrace this and change ‘what if’s with ‘so what’s.’ Take a deep breath and make a firm decision to just go for it.
Emotional blocks can be overcome through RELEASING MEDITATIONS. We accumulate energy blocks through our experiences all through our lives, our habits, through fears, negative emotions and picking up negative energy from around us. Focusing on this makes it worse.
Meditate specifically on ‘letting go’. As you meditate, think of all the negative energy within you as being grey and cloudy. Don’t be afraid to imagine this, from the top of your head to the souls of your feet, see this greyness within you. Now allow all this greyness to start pouring out of your feet. See it all draining away from your body and into the earth below and as the greyness pours away, imagine light coming from above, entering your crown chakra and replacing the greyness.
As you go about your day, try not to focus on ‘blockages’ as this feeds the negative energy. Instead replace such thoughts with good things.
