The Mystery Behind Psychic Readings
Psychic readings can be mysterious especially for those who have had little experience in spiritual or psychic areas. The very nature of psychic readings makes them mysterious even for those who provide the readings. For how can psychics themselves not lose their sense of awe and mystery as they continue to receive confirmation and evidence to affirm their connection with the Divine?
Psychic readings are mysterious because neither the psychic or the sitter knows what might be revealed in a reading. For people approaching psychics, they may be doing so out of curiosity, intrigue or because they believe and find the psychic offers sincere and helpful guidance. In this a relationship is built between the psychic and their client and both are helping each other – the psychic giving guidance and the sitter giving confirmation that the psychic has a strong psychic link that allows them to provide a comforting or helpful reading.
Psychic awareness is something many people don’t think about or aren’t familiar with. They might occasionally wonder whether they are intuitive or if some experiences in their lives are mystical or psychic ones. Some who notice these repeatedly might approach a mentor or organisation to learn more about their own psychic powers and yes, just like any other skill, it is possible to learn how to develop your intuition and psychic ability.

Some psychics will have been aware of their sensitivity to subtle energy from an early age and will have always felt they were ‘different’ from others. Psychics have learned how to distinguish emotions (feelings) from intuition. Either way, once anyone begins on the path to spiritual development it is an amazing experience. – Difficult, challenging and a one requiring absolute dedication but so, so very rewarding.
Psychic ability can be misunderstood in that some people seem to think that ‘psychics know everything’ … wrong! Or that psychics can instantly ‘tell the future’ … again wrong. As psychics we can pick up what a person needs to know at the time of the reading (which isn't always what they want to hear) and future 'possibilities'. We are only shown what spirit, our guides, the Angels or the Divine want us to see. Often the psychic has to work really hard to interpret the messages they are being given. Many messages are received in symbols just as the language of our dreams is symbolism and learning how to interpret these symbols correctly is not an easy task.
Sincere psychics never stop learning. They continue to learn how to develop and hone their skills. They constantly practice and experiment with their psychic ability for like any other skill, if it is not used, it will grow rusty. Psychics constantly work on how to interpret the information they receive (which is not as easy as it might sound) in order to pass messages on to their clients. Sincere psychics also work on themselves as self-development is as important as spiritual development in the psychic world.
It takes a huge amount of energy to give a reading. It takes a huge amount of time, effort, dedication and learning before a psychic reaches the stage where they are confident to offer readings. Many will do this through offering free readings on Facebook and other groups in order to gain experience. Many professional psychics continue to offer free readings as their way to thank the Universe for this amazing gift. Even so, psychics like anyone else have to pay for the roof over their head and put food on the table for their family so it is not unfair for them to earn a little through offering readings (after all, what they are being paid for is years of dedication, study, expense on tools, courses etc., their time and their energy). Psychics I work with charge very little compared with what they give of their time, energy and dedication to their profession.
Another mystery behind a psychic reading is for a psychic to allow their confidence to grow to enable them to find the courage (and for beginners, especially, it does take a lot of courage) to put themselves out there and become proficient in being able to help others.
